This book and DVD have been really easy to follow, I've learned quite a lot in a very short space of time. The explanations of notation, scales, roots, progressions and finger techniques have been especially helpful.

Bought as gift to help an ambitious beginner it had scales and techniques but with the DVD the next best thing to having a teacher there.

I have brought this book for myself when I started to play a guitar and didn't have any basic information and time for lessons with a qualified teachers. It's very good for self learning and as an extra to the lessons. I don't have time to practice playing my guitar regularly so from time to time i go back to this book. It has brilliant excersizes!!! Love it!!!!

Maybe not for a complete Novice
This book is OK, but I don't think it is for the complete novice. I thought the DVD presentation presumed a little too much in that the viewer already knew the very basics. Read more
