Great item ! 5 Dec 2009
By Crusty
I'm only a few months into bass playing but was attracted to having the ability to play along with tunes at a slower pace to groove the muscle memory of my left and right hands - getting it right at a slower pace being essential to getting it right in real time - deliberate practice.
Have just spent my first couple of hours with it - what a machine. The ability to put headphones on in a busy household and get my bass heard at decent level whilst feeding in the music is great - means no reliance on carting laptops / speaker etc about to a quiet room or hogging the desktop!
But then I got adventurous and started to slow things down - "Pump It Up" has a tricky (for me) fast part in it and I was struggling / messing through before today. Slowing down to 50% meant getting to know what was needed - then by end of 20mins I tried it for fun at normal speed - seemed as if I was a different player - ability to keep up / hit the notes was SO much better (although still lots of deliberate practice to really nail it).
This has hit the mark - well worth the considerable spend. Thoroughly recommend.

For me this is THE number 1 piece of kit after my guitar, amp and lead.

Transfer new material between band members, download the mp3s onto your BT1MP3 and be jamming/rehearsing/creating your own bass-parts in seconds.

If you play in a covers band:
- Insert MP3s of the originals into BT1
- Boost bass so you can hear exactly how the part's being played
- Loop tricky sections and play along until you get them spot on
- Mute the original bass part and substitute for yourself

Nothing like jamming with Angus and the rest of AC/DC, replacing Lemmy in Motorhead or Chris Edwards in Kasabian to cheer up a miserable Monday evening
