Product Description

Product Description

TEAC introduces the new, all-in-one music centre which can record CD directly from your vinyl record collection of 33s, 45s, 75s and your cassette tapes. Now you can play and record your vinyl albums and cassettes onto cd and listen to your favourite records virtually anywhere. It has 2 built-in stereo speakers and a full function remote control included. Dust off those vinyls and cherished cassettes - now you can listen to them again and again.

You can record the entire album/cassette or just your favourite tracks from the album to make your own personal compilations. Listen to your recording through the system's twin 3-inch speakers, or plug in and listen through the built-in headphone jack. Either way, you will listen to a high quality sound from a reliable manufacturer. Finished in wood veneer. It combines a back-lit LCD panel - which gives you CD information - with a rotary controlled FM/AM radio and controls for tuning, volume and of course, 'one-touch recording' from vinyl or cassette to CD. The LP-R500 also offers a unique TEAC feature: automatic or manual track increment options (with 2 different level thresholds to choose from), which means you can record your albums with spaces between every track. It also features manual record-level control and an auxiliary set of RCA stereo analog audio inputs for recording from external sources such as reel-to-reel tape, or another CD or MP3 player. Playback features include shuffle play, repeat play, and 32-track programming. Listen to your favourite FM or AM station on the rotary analog tuner. The turntable supports 33s, 45s and 78s, so you can play your entire collection - it even comes with a handy centre-hole adapter for your 7-inch singles. The included full-function remote control allows you to operate everything from the comfort of your sofa. Please note: only audio/music CDs or CDWs may be used.

This unit is fantastic! very easy to use and understand. just put a blank cd-r or cd-rw into the cd recorder and transfer your vinyl or cassette tapes to cd. a very remarkable hi-fi. it even has a radio and tape deck. and the unit has built in speakers. there's no softwear to download no leads except you do get a RCA type lead if, you have any AUX units that can be connected up to this unit. I have had a USB turntable and have had nothing but problems with it and it's softwear. the turntable has gone and this hi-fi has sucessfully replaced my usb turntable. so this unit is a gem so compact and well designed it most certainly a 5 gold star item all the way. even the instruction booklet is so easy to understand and is well illustrated no fancy jargon of words that people can't understand. this unit even comes with a remote control. TEAC have thought about everything for there product. this to me is well worth the money and does what it is set out to do a excellent unit. I am very happy with my purchase.

I know this product may be a bit expensive - compared with the software and leads you can pick up for so much less..............but don't be fooled.
This product takes an LP, Cassette (many of us have still got them but never play them and copies them STRAIGHT onto a CD - all at once or selected tracks.
NO leads, NO connecting it to your computer, No computer editing required - and most important, NO bits of software not included,(as with the leads and software I stupidly purchased a while ago and got totally fed up with).
I would NEVER reccommend anything I did not think was totally amazing - I never have done one of these before - but for anyone who has many LP's that can't be cought on CD however hard you try - do buy this piece of equipment, if you can.
I read the internet reviews and took a chance - I am SO GLAD I did.
I have old West End Musicals, Anthony Newley, Liberace, Brian Sharp, old radio broadcasts - I could go on................. but if I could give this 10 stars I would !!

This player was bought primarily to resurrect my vinyl collection. Changes in recorded formats had relegated the latter to storage boxes. High time to dust off old LPs, then.

This player was by no means the cheapest, but TEAC is an established brand. It was delivered very promptly and proved easy to set up - plug 'n' play, really. It seems to be a well built unit and [so far] works as expected.

Using it brings back memories of the procedure involved in not just playing LPs, but also enjoying the artwork on sleeves. It's the audio equivalent of the Japanese Tea Ceremony!

Recommended.
