I researched on the internet for this type of unit having taken note of Teac's good reviews. I purchased through Amazon from Shop AV Ltd (see high recommendation elsewhere) but had to return the unit because of problems switching from one source to another and because of what turned out to be design fault (see below). I then found that the replacement had a faulty knob as well. The third unit worked successfully, but the design fault was still present and Shop AV Ltd gave me telephone and fax numbers for the UK distributor, meanwhile warning me that I might not have success in contacting them. The fax received no reply and the phone number was permanently switched to a BT answering service - I left messages each time but never received a call back. The design fault is that when playing a CD with continuous music through a change of track number, eg in an opera or musical, there is a half-second's delay in the music every time the track number changes. If an owner only listens to music with separate tracks this may be no problem, but for classical music or musicals etc this soon became unbearable. I am very surprised that reviewers and the manufacturers have not picked up on this. Even if we ignore the two faulty units I was sent at first, if you listen to anything other than pop music which always has separate tracks, I suggest that you avoid this version and possibly this manufacturer too.
