5.0 out of 5 stars great era, 15 Sep 2007
An album of excellent rarities; harpsichords and woodwinds, drums and guitars, music which hasn't the polish of today's sound. It has an edge of truthfulness and I love it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Baroque Rockwrock!, 9 Dec 2007
An exquisite collection of fully arranged minor key ballads from the fuzzy cusp of the seventies. Think Vision On, craft fairs, chunky knits, or the good bits of the War of the Worlds concept LP. Or a strand of music started by the Zombies and the Left Banke and where it took us. Or a legit Fading Yellow - and currently as hard to find as those mysterious mastercomps.

Superb artwork from Lora Findlay wraps around Bob Stanley's detailed and heartfelt sleevenotes. A woodwind time is guaranteed for all.

A perfect soundtrack to the autumn, and a LABOUR OF LOVE comp. for sure.
A must if u dig the FADING YELLOW comps or similar.
