3.0 out of 5 stars A tea cosy for every kitchen, 19 April 2008
This has a real mix of patterns in some I definetely would knit and those I wouldn't go near. The good thing about this book is the variety of patterns and yarns used. Each design has clear photos and patterns.

There really is something for everyone in this book. From a basic striped cosy to cabled sweater one and a fairisle one.

At the back is a small section on how to knit them and sew them up.

If you are looking for a tea cosy pattern this is the book for you.

2.0 out of 5 stars Wasn't my cuppa tea..., 11 Aug 2008
By A. Dawud "Serene Goddess" (Midlands, United Kingdom) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
I have recently developed a love of knitting and love the idea of old fashioned tea parties with lovely knitted tea cozies, homemade cakes etc etc.

I borrowed this book with the intention on making a few tea cozies for myself and my family and friends. Sadly it didn't really cater for my creative needs (although if you like simple yet cosy designs that remind you of the countryside you're in for a treat).

I was looking for something a bit more glam-knitted flowers, frills, ribbions and lace-but didn't find it in this book.

If all you want is a book with some simple designs (nothing too glam or quirky) this is for you. If like me you have visions of pink, frilly girlie tea cozies you imagine your Nan may have used during her lifetime this isn't the book for you.

5.0 out of 5 stars Tea cozies, 11 April 2009

full of great cozies to knit, the fish is my favourite but there is a brilliant cat and a wonderful sheep pattern. Also there are good old fashioned cozy patterns. Well worth the money. Helen

An inspiring book, with clear instructions. I have knitted the Shaun the sheep tea cosy, with great success. The old fashioned patterns, like granny knitted are also appreciated.
