I don't know what book Catherine Halliday has but in the copy I have, there is no such error. Row 12 is the bead row 13, says purl and rows 14 to 16 are knit rows and the rest continue in moss stitch as they should. Nor is there a problem with the eyelet row, the only other change from moss stitch. I should know, a friend has made the cozy (cosy) completely error-free and found the design not only to be stylish and attractive but a very easy knit to make! Perhaps Ms Halliday mis-read it or confused it with something else about which she wished to complain! As other readers have said, there are some delightful designs in the book (including Little Black Dress)that represent fabulous creativity and use of yarn. I shall certainly be buying more in the series for my knitting friends. All the cozies (cosies) are beautifully photographed in full colour close-up, so it isn't difficult to see what you should be doing as a knitter - as others have testified in their reviews.
