4.0 out of 5 stars Lovely book but not very practical! 12 Feb 2012
Format:Paperback
This is a lovely little book! And there is nothing out there quite like it. There are some really nice places in the book, and I'm excited to go out and try them all!
But...I find it sooo not practical!
There is no map. The cafès are in no order of areas. There is only the address, and to me when I'm out and about that's not very helpful. I think this makes it very difficult to actually use. You basically have to choose where you wanna go while you are still at home.
Also it would have been nice to have opening times in the book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Little gem 29 Dec 2011
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
So fed up with the tea one gets in the chains, this book is a god send, been to a couple of recommended places already & its been a joy. Only one place was a disappointment over in Blthye rd, W14.

The rest have been excellent. My most favoured place so far is Cafe Pekoe in Barnes, some of the best tea I have ever had, a place to linger and contemplate life and consider what we are all here for, this is what good tea and company is all about.

This book is a revelation, an indispensable guide, avoid the chains at all costs, with this book in hand go seek the comfort of a fine cup of tea with excellent company and I guarantee the world will regain its lustre and all your troubles will fade away.

God bless the author for compiling this guide for us all to enjoy, tea is life.

5.0 out of 5 stars Yum! 3 Nov 2011
By MrsS
Format:Paperback
Have bought this as a gift for my sister, it looks wonderful. It's a handy size with glossy photos on each page, either of the interior of tea rooms or of the food you can eat there. Yum Yum Yum, book is good enough to eat! I don't live in London so cannot comment on the accuracy of the reviews)
