EASY TO USE - there a 2 types of tea infuser, being this type & the snap-open-or-closed type
(with those, hold the double handle pressed-open with one hand while filling with the other hand - great if you want to do it quickly, don't want to mix contents [or have them ready-mixed] & have steady hands) - with this ball-type you can take your time filling it with a combination of contents (I pile them on one half then simply close the other half over it) VERSATILE - can use for tea, or for herbs+spices that you want to take out at the end of cooking (eg. bayleaves, cardamom pods), or for hanging herbs up (to repel insects &/or for a natural fragrancer) (TV prog. "Grow your own drugs" said that wormwood, sage & rosemary repel clothes moths. Website thriftyfun says that thyme repels bedbugs. Other sites said that pennyroyal & tansy repels insects. I'm hoping that a combination of all will repel carpet beetles & woodworm beetles!) DOES CLOSE TIGHTLY - I read the review saying there's a gap round the edges - I bought 10 of these (for repelling insects) & all close v.closely - perhaps other reviewer's mesh ball's seam was accidentally, gradually, imperceptibly forced open, by leaving a little of the contents on the rim when closing it? - this can be avoided by simply wiping a finger around the rim of the loaded side before closing the other side over it PRICE - at the time this was the cheapest (& although I ordered 10 they v.kindly sent me a full box of 12!) but now I see that this firm sells it even more cheaply! - see item on page https://www.amazon.co.uk/Tea-Ball-Infuser-Stainless-Steel/dp/B0045O9B9I/ref=sr_1_13?ie=UTF8&qid=1290178665&sr=8-13

I've tried all sorts of infusers but this beats them all, you just have to get used to 'clapping' the two hemispheres together having loaded it, clip the little retaining clip and away you go. Excellent value for money. Mark Green.

This is a great product - much more robust than the old infuser that it replaced in our household! Thoroughly recommend it
