This is a very worth having at super bargain price- especially so as it contains Adrian Leaper's excellent account of 1812.

The CD was delivered promptly;and the service was excellent.

I do not know enough about the violin to be able to comment on the technical
aspects of the playing;but the CD provided very pleasent listening.

A wonderful and high quality CD at a bargain price! 15 May 2002
By A Customer - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD
This is one of my favorite collections from NAXOS. The 1812 Overture, conducted by Adrian Leaper, is exciting and dynamic! Many of my favorite pieces are featured here: the Waltz from Sleeping Beauty, the Waltz from Serenade for Strings, Andante Cantabile (Symphony #5), June (Seasons), and many others. The musicianship of the artists and the sound quality are excellent. High quality CDs need not be expensive. I bet you'll enjoy this CD as much as I did!

It is a nice overview of his music. A good starter CD. Not for serious listeners - good to listen to in the car.

The best of Tchaikovsky is a must buy. The "Sleeping Beauty" waltz is the best piece of music you would ever discover !

The very first track, also my favorite, is called as "Piano concerto #1"
It is anything but concerto #1, that much I can tell. I stopped listening to the CD right there.
I was very disappointed....
