I'm with the 5-star reviewers. This is an excellent set, very well recorded and played with great gusto by a Russian orchestra which has the music in its bones. It is not, as one reviewer says, a selection but the complete ballet, nor, as another (I am sure correctly) says, wrongly labelled with all the information in German -he must have got some sort of rogue copy ; the track labelling is fine on my set and the excellent notes are in English, French and German. No, it is thoroughly enjoyable and stands comparison with the best sets available.

This is a great recording of an all time favourite classical work. This recording is my favourite as I can imagine the ballet that is performed to it as the music is playing. A russian orchestra and conductor are ideal choices for Russian music - so enjoy!

If you love Tchaikovsky (you'll already have this), ballet or classical music his is for you. Lots of well known tunes and some lesser known ones that are just as good. A good quality recording too. Top quality.

Not a bad collection of Swan Lake highlights, just not that good either. I seem to remember Swan Lake being better than this.....maybe they just made poor selections on which tracks to include? In general though, you can't go much wrong with the Naxos label, I have been buying their CD's for over 10 years now.

I would have prefferred to listen to portions of the tracks as they were all the wrong ones and the label was wrtten in german - case of buyer beware i suppose- perhaps I could have had the oppertunity to exchange
