Tax Saving Tactics for Non-Doms 2011/2012

The 2011/12 edition of this popular tax book explains the UK non-domicile tax rules in plain English. It also shows you exactly how to use your status to save thousands in income tax, capital gains tax and inheritance tax.

The non-domicile tax rules contain several important exemptions that allow those that are UK non-domiciled to keep money offshore and avoid paying tax.

The author, Lee Hadnum LLB ACA CTA is a rarity among tax advisers, having both legal and chartered accountancy qualifications. After qualifying as a prize winner in the Institute of Chartered Accountants entrance exams, he went on to become a Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) and worked for Ernst & Young for several years. Lee is the author of several bestselling Taxcafe tax guides such as Non-Resident & Offshore Tax Planning, The World's Best Tax Havens, The Investor's Tax Bible, Selling Your Business and Using a Company to Save Tax.

Tax Saving Tactics for Non-Doms is essential reading for all non-doms living in the UK. Subjects covered include:

Although not actually non domiciled, myself and my partner have talked about the idea for years. We were a bit wary, simply because of the lack of clear information we could find. Having read Taxcafe's books before, we bought this and must say im very impressed. Not only is the information easily digested, the author's relaxed style of writing makes reading about a complex subject very easy. Well done!

English bias 31 Aug 2011
By Becker - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
The book seemed to be written in an easy to understand format but the bias is toward English citizens rather than the expat community at large which I was hoping in reading the title and the summary of the book, would address. I am not a member of the Common Wealth of Nations and so I do not know the relevance of some of the tax saving tactics or laws would apply. In fact I know that they will not benefit me. I wanted to know more about tax saving tips for anyone, particularly Americans as I still call myself, that I could look to for guidance. Quite disappointed in that matter but suffice it to say "for Englishmen" I think the book would be of some significance.
