This short informative book will help people involved in LLP's to better understand the gray areas that often get people in trouble. When working in the financial sector it is very important that every detail is triple checked so that no errors are made. Since LLP’s exist in that area between a Partnership and a Corporation, and they are only a decade old, it can be easy to get lost in the complex tax details. The book written by Lee Hadnum, although concise is packed full of useful information. It explains in the simplest of terms what an LLP is and the benefits of using one. The top ten reasons to use an LLP is a very easy start point in understanding the benefits of an LLP. The book explains in detail the difference in treatment of an LLP and a Limited Company for company taxation, individual taxation, VAT and inheritance tax, PAYE and NIC. Each benefit or use is further simplified and explained using simple monetary examples. This book is straight forward with no complicated statements or reciting of various tax or company laws. A must have introduction to LLP's.

This is a great little guide on tax planning with LLP. I emphasis little though, it seems like it is really short, but it is still very informative and helps guide those new to LLP's figure out their best plan of action when it comes to taxes. Plenty of helpful informative, I just would have prefered more as not every situation will apply to ever person with an LLP. Either way you will get a good tip at least that can save you plenty come tax time.

easy to read. very informative 6 Feb. 2014
By MrsG - Published on Amazon.com

This book is very short, yet informative in the information it gives you. There are only approximately 35 pages and 8 chapters. The book starts off with an introduction and what you need to know about LLPs. Then it goes into why you should use an LLP and tax facts. Tax Planning with LLPs goes over the tax percentages and how to use a partner to avoid tax. This was very interesting to know about the rules and laws that go into Limited Liability Partnerships. The language and verbiage used in this book is so easy. It didn’t need to look up any words because they were too complicated for me. It is an excellent book for someone who is just starting the learn about LLPs and other businesses.
Very Insightful - A Must Have 4 Feb. 2014

Although LLP's are relatively new (only a decade or so ago, they didn't exist) they still affect plenty of people, and when you are working in the financial sector, dotting your t's and crossing your i's is very important. As with any complex tax system, there are some challenging gray areas of LLP's where mistakes can be easily made or incorrect documentation can trip you up. It is essential to know the differences in those cases and make the correct choice to keep you from going down a dangerous path. Taxes are nothing to mess about with, as we all know. Reading the book cover-to-cover isn't necessary, since some areas will only apply to certain individuals, but this is a wonderful reference guide when you have a concern and you are looking for a quick, simple, and easy-to-understand solution. For people involved in LLP's, this book is precisely what you need to keep yourself, and your business, safe.
