When the housekeeper dies falling off a ladder, Danielle moves in with her great-nephew and his family. She continues using her nastiness to manipulate everyone into doing things her way until the family goes on vacation to Greece. The young housekeeper they hire to watch after her knows what Auntie is doing, and deals with her accordingly, and they begin forming respect for each other. This is in my top 10 list of Favourite French comedies...If you have even the slightest twisted sense of Humour you will love this.
A lonely old lady living with/cared for by what appears to an even older Housekeeper,spend hers days being...well to put it politely "not very nice deliberately"..ends up living with Nephews family where the fun gets even better. I don't want to spoil the ending..though I thought i knew what was coming, then thought I was wrong...but an excellent twist...lets just say we don't always get what we deserve !! Please don't let the subtitles turn you off,2 reasons 1st- the language used is at a level any O'level student or less should understand(though don't take this as the film is NOT well written, it is,the spoken words are just perfect, in creation & timing. 2nd: The well written subtitles are great leaving you more than enough time to see the all important looks on people faces, and underhand events...). I would really recommend this is anyone above the 15+ age limit, An excellent well made Black comedy. Although this film has subtitles I didn`t find this a hindrance. It is one of the funniest films I have viewed and I have viewed it three times now. I would say it is a really black comedy but so skillfully portrayed by Tsilla Shelton. Tatie has no time for anyone but herself and the situations in the film have you one moment shocked at her evil ways the next bursting your sides laughing. Wonderful!! Rating TEN!!!

Heartwarming, thought-provoking, and hilarious,

The fantastic story of a stubborn old woman, who plays havoc with her relatives' social lives, much to their dismay. They take the decision to go on holiday, but before they go they find her a live-in "babysitter", but things don't go according to plan... It made me laugh, cry and think hard about life. I loved every minute of it!
