About the Author

Rose Langlitz has been crocheting things since she was seven. In 2006, she opened her online store, www.sunspotbabywear.com, and began selling baby items and play food. Her designs were such a hit that she found it difficult to keep up with demand. Crochet Kitchen is a collection of her most requested patterns.

This is the best fun i have had with a crochet pattern book and i have already had requests from family and friends for toy food for their children.
This book is well worth the money and well done to the author.
Easy to follow instructions and if you get lost a glossery of stiches and how to do them in the back.
i would recommend this book to anyone.

I have just got this book in the post, so I haven't made anything yet, but I can already tell that it's going to be one of my favourite pattern books.
It's split inside into Breakfast(7), Lunch(11), Dinner(7), Dessert(8), and then a small basic crochet section which has explanations and pictures to show you how to do the stitches (uses the US terms), and there are full colour pictures of each project, with some posed next to the original food items to compare them.

Some of the 'Yummy Treats' included are: Bacon, Fried Egg, Pancakes, Pop Tarts/Toaster Pastry, Mini Cheeseburger, Nigiri and Maki Sushi, Pita Pockets with Falafel, Pizza slices, Tacos, Chicken Drumsticks, Chocolate Cake Slice, Ice Cream Cones, Strawberries and Pumpkin Pie

I bought this book because I love to crochet unexpected objects. I have tried two of the patterns with great success: apples and pears in a variety of shades of red, yellow, green and gold (it's Christmas) now adorn my kitchen table. Only gripe: where is the pattern for a banana?
