This book with it's lovely photography and interesting selection of inspiring dishes is spoiled by not being adequately edited. There are a number of badly written, incomplete recipes which I think is inexcusable for a book like this. The feint-hearted home chef would find his book rather daunting, and I doubt that many amateur cooks would make all of the recipes as they can be quite complex and call for some difficult-to-obtain ingredients. However, I enjoy paging through the book and having my imagination fired up by the interesting combinations and beautiful photographs. I haven't followed any of the recipes yet, but have used them to inspire my dinner party cooking.
