I won't go into too much detail as Book Addict and Kelly Wootton have more or less said what I wanted.
The only thing that I'm going to add is how glad I am that I read this book. I had decided to stop reading Gena Showalter as the last couple of books seemed in my opionion, to be a little childish. I know she writes young adult/teenage stories aswell as adult and it seemed to me that she was starting to blend the two together. I'm talking mainly about her Lord of the Underworld series.
It was out of desperation that I fell back to the familiar and purchased this story and I have to say that this is one of the best I have read from her. The majority of the book had me laughing out loud and the chemistry between the two characters was great......
"Say something like that to her again, and your balls with take the same path as you and your underwear. Feel me?"
"Noelle, my love?" Ava Said in a sing-song voice, balancing her bag on the now vacant bed. " I think the person in question is female"
"Oh my bad, I'm so sorry" she told the girl in the same saccharine sweetness she'd used on the guys. Her hand flutterd up to her heart, baby bird delicate. "I thought you were a dude. It's the mustache. That'll fool me everytime"
At no point was the kiss a gentle exploration. At all points, it was savage and hot and consuming, a reding of self, an unquenchable thirst. He wanted more, more, more, now, now, now.
My only criticism is for Hector, who I thought became a bit too whiney towards the end, it clashed with his macho *roar* 'I am man' *roar* attitude.
If like me, you have given up on Ms Showalter then I urge you to get out your oven gloves (your kindle/book might be too hot to handle ;) and give her another shot.
