The main food is rice served with dal (lentils) and vegetables, but potato and noodle dishes are also common, and meat and fish (from the many rivers and lakes) are also served when available. Absolutely delighted with this book. It has lots of recipes, information on typical cooking techniques and ingredients and the having visited Nepal more than once I can confirm the recipes in it are extremely authentic and produce fabulous tasting food. The book is well written throughout and the recipes are easy to follow. I would highly recommend this book if you have any interest at all in this interesting and tasty cuisine.

Definitely a good 'taste of Nepal'. The receipes are easy to follow and certainly encourage you to keep cooking! The book is laid out well and includes some practical notes too. For anyone having travelled to Nepal and tasted the foods, this will certainly bring your trip back to your home.
