I used to have all of Lenny Welch's LP vinyl albums. He has such an incredible voice. He sounds different with every song he sings. He is romantic, hurt and even desperate in his renditions, such as in the song "Darlin'". I wish he was still recording music. He is one of those singers like Jackie Wilson, Sam Cooke and Brook Benton: they have incredible singing voices...I never could understand why people could listen to groups like the Rolling Stones--which as far as I'm concerned, can't sing at all--and not appreciate those who could really belt out a song with emotions.
I love this CD. It has all his most recognized songs and that sultry voice...!

This may be the best collection of Lenny's songs that is currently available. Checking out other CDs available on Amazon by Lenny Welch, they are all basically the same. This CD adds a few new tracks to the also excellent Since I Fell For You CD.
