After Dark CAN on occasion, come up with a good enjoyable film that whilst not life changing is a fun watch. THIS is not it.
I admit I had high expectations of the film, having read the plotline and what it entailed. That was where the problem lay. Whilst the film is not the worst I have seen, it suffers too hard by trying to use the familiar vein of footage films and then adding a twist that anyone can figure after about 20 minutes into the film.
The characters are two dimensional, there's nothing to them and you really find you don't care if they die, in some instances in the film you actually want their demise to come sooner. The plotline itself is a good idea but the practise is poor, it's sluggish and it takes far too long to get to the whole crux of the film and the ending is one of the poorest I have seen in some time.
Overall it's not completely atrocious, some moments in the film do redeem it but it feels too little too late. My suggestion is do not be tempted to buy it if you see the case cover as it is fundamentally not as good as it looks.
Not a film I can whole heartedly recommend and I feel as a lot less oomph! than was required. Disappointing, a jaded film and not one to buy if you need to save some extra pennies. This is definitely an 'Avoid'.
