This is the seventh Johnny Weissmuller film as Tarzan, the first in which Maureen O'Sullivan stopped playing Jane. It is an enjoyable film. The series began in 1932. While Tarzan could not go to Germany to fight against the Nazis, the filmmakers have the Nazis come to Tarzan's jungle and enslave an idyllic civilization in the jungle because they want to rob the people of their wealth. Tarzan does not want to get involved. He wants to live alone with his family. However, when the Nazis capture his adopted son Boy, Tarzan exclaims, "Now Tarzan make war." In the ensuing battle, Boy shoots a Nazi soldier with a pistol and Cheetah the ape machine guns another. The final punch line of the film concerns a German general in Germany trying to communicate with the Nazis in the jungle by radio. However, all of them have been killed and Cheetah the ape is chattering to the general. The general suddenly stands at attention and says to the soldiers standing near him, this is not our men, this is Hitler speaking!
