Cassandra eason is great writer after using many of her books in past,
i thought i would try this as its alterative view on tarot.
Still good practical advice for anyone not just women :)
Explains the characters in the cards well eg highlights the person
in the card more than the main tarot discriptions given in most
tarot books. Brings the cards to life a lot so you learn to associate
them to areas of your own life. Nice easy to understand very well
described to every card.

I found this book to be most informative and enjoyable. The writing style makes for easy reading, and the author manages to convey some very interesting concepts without confusing the reader. The book is written in such a way that a very dedicated person (and I mean VERY) could learn to read the whole deck using a good variety of spreads within 30 days, whilst at the same time developing intuition along the way. It is divided up into sections, each section being completed in one day, although one could, of course, take much longer over the different sections - just at one's own pace, working systematically through the book. Cassandra Eason has introduced some aspects of the Tarot which a lot of other book just haven't touched on, e.g. Tarot magic, Tarot visualisation, Court card readings et al., and has described some interesting Tarot spreads, rather than just the standard ones. The only place I felt the book fell down was in it being a book for women. The specific references to women and the Tarot get fewer as the book moves along, and those references could probably be removed without losing any of the message. However, it is an excellent book which everyone could gain something from, whether beginner or seasoned reader.

I am a huge fan of Cassandra's books and bought this one to give a 'womans' view on the tarot, not in a sexist way you understand but as I've been reading tarot for 26 years, it is always good to get a different perspective. The book is written in clear type (not tiny and hard to read), and goes in detail into every one of the 78 cards in a pack. The differing perspective comes into play because we as woman often have to juggle so many aspects of ourselves with other elements of life that we, as woman, get forgotton. This book clearly explains how we can address these 'gaps' and adds another dimension to giving readings. The book gives the reader a boost by identifying subtle ways in which we can help ourselves and acts a prompt to help us acknowledge our issues, even though we might not automatically do this. It is a cue to start to put ourselves first and celebrate womankind.
