4.0 out of 5 stars A magickal deck 13 Mar 2002
Format:Paperback
This deck is full of unicorns, butterflies, dragons and magick. It is a very beautiful and attractive deck. At the same time it is not to the easiest of decks to understand and the book that comes with it isnt particularly straight forward. You will be fine with this set if you are used to reading the tarot but you may struggle to fully understand each card if you are a beginner. This is one of the first decks i ever got and i would never part with it. I would definitely recommend the set over the deck on its own. With some of the cards you only see exactly what they are trying to depict after reading the book.

4.0 out of 5 stars A Beautiful and Fantastical deck 11 May 2002
Format:Paperback
The pictures of this deck are very attractive and dreamlike-which I think is essential in any tarot deck as it removes the vision of everyday life and opens up the realms of the imagination and sub-conscious, helping you to make deeper readings. There is much beautiful foliage, flowers, butterflies, and unicorns. The minor arcana is based on rider-waite pictures and not just grouped swords, cups, pentacles and staffs. The faults of the deck are small, just that "staffs" is actually a grammatical error and should be "staves". Also I like a bit more texture to my cards, but I think all modern decks are smooth anyway. It is a lovely deck that inspires the imagination, and I also think it would be great for children too because it would inspire them to learn about myths and magical creatures.

5.0 out of 5 stars A great deck. 7 Feb 2003
By J. Barrett - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
I use this deck almost every day, and I just love the colors and the imagery. It is a very friendly and positive deck. The book is really great, it has a good paragraph or two for every card and it does give reversals. It also has an activity for each card too, something I've never seen in a basic deck-based-book. Some activities are spells, meditations, etc. It's really well done. The cards are a good size for smaller hands, and they are plastic coated and very glossy. I spilled water on my deck, and the water just beaded up and rolled off- the cards were fine! Not many decks are made this way. I do not find the deck too sweet and fantastical, although it has faries on some cards. I love all the vegetation (ferns and such) that seems to grow right out of the cards. The colors are rich and relaxing. Overall, I really like this deck. ...

4.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful tarot cards 6 Feb 2006
By Catherine Gallanti - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
This was the first tarot deck I ever owned and in fact, these were the first tarot cards I ever encountered. A friend of mine gave them to me as a Christams gift. He was an expert tarot reader and somehow saw in me a budding intuitive full of potential (way before I had that realization myself). he gave me this deck as he thought that it would be an excellent starting point for a beginner: the cards are beautiful, very feminine, very "lunar" (obviously) and very fairylike. I had never encountered the Tarot before, so these cards were the doorway through which that initiation occured, in some ways my very first step into the intuitive world. Because of these reasons, I am very fond of these cards, even if I moved on to other , probably better decks a long time ago.

The major limitation in these cards is that the symbolism present in most tarot cards is not as clearly drawn out. They are not as precise symbolically as decks such as the Raider-Waite tarot or the Morgan-Greer deck. However, since I experienced using these as a beginner, I found that they were excellent for trigering psychic ability. I found that each time I sat with these cards, I felt as if I could walk through them into another world. Some of the "symbolic" details in the cards were so vague that I was forced to rely much more on my inner "sight", than on traditional interpretation. I am not sure that that was such a bad thing. I personally benefited from the process.

So, if you are looking for a very "traditional" and symbolically explicit deck, this one will not do. But if you a looking for a very beautiful feminine dreamy set of cards to help you tune into the subtle realms of reality, you might find great satisfaction in these tarot cards. I personally enjoyed them very much.

5.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful and full of meaning. 20 July 2003
By A Customer - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
Someone said this deck hasn't Christian symbols. In fact, though the author is Wiccan, she has incorporated the symbols of the Rider-Waite in this deck, though you sometimes need the descriptions from the book to notice this(I'm Christian myself).
I love this deck.It was the first deck I ordered, and it's still one of my top favourites.Because it's almost R-W,only so much more fantastical,I rather use this deck than the ones less traditional.
The Moon Garden is not shallow.A new world will open to you if you explore this deck.
