This Toilet Training ball, called Max, actually works in helping to make the potty training experience fun, by giving boys and girls a point of focus and interest. It also helps to accelerate the toilet training process and reduce your child's dependency on nappies. Supplied in packs of four, Max is made using Hygienilac, a special anti-microbial ingredient, which sits in the body of the device, giving Max his anti-bacterial qualities. Simply place a Max into the toilet bowl, where he will happily float for up to four weeks at a time and then invite your children to aim at him, making the whole process fun for everyone. Max is ideally suited to encourage bathroom accuracy in boys, but it works for girls too, by forcing them to sit back onto the toilet instead of 'perching', which creates its own little spills, leading to real hygiene concerns around the toilet bowl. Saw this on The Dragon's Den and wondered if it would solve the problem of accidental spillages when small and not so small boys are not quite focussed enough on their aim. It did - Not a single accident to mop up since I've introduced the target ball.

I had seen this item before on various baby websites and was considering purchasing for my 2 1/2yr old, to help with potty training and aiming. I would advise people to think twice about this product as I have to agree with other comments, in that they flush away rather easily. In the end we purchased a very cheap set of 'ping pong balls' from a shop that sells everything for the same price...we drew smiley faces on them and popped two into the toilet bowl. That was over 4 weeks ago and both balls are still there. They do not flush away even when covered with toilet paper, they just bounce back up to the top. They have helped greatly with aiming and were a lot cheaper than this product. I'd recommend giving this a try before these..

These are fantastic - they work quickly, the kids love using them, they cut down the cost of nappies (and stop nappies going to landfill), they are hygenic and last a few weeks. I never thought that something like this would work so well for our little girl, but they have been a marvel (it's fun for dad's too...but don't tell anyone I said that). I gave our friends one from our packet, and within a couple of days their boy was asking to use the toilet, and was clean.
