I havent finished reading the whole book yet as it explains the reasoning behind how it works but is so detailed, Im finding it hard to read quickly! However you don't need to read the whole book for it to work! I had a terrible migraine last week and felt so bad a just wanted to curl up and die. My partner suggested I give it a go, which I was reluctant to do as a felt so bad but I did and the pain reduced significantly! I did it again and felt surprisingly better, so much so that I was a bit hyper - elated that I was able to control something which takes over my life on a regular basis! The next day I woke to significant pain so I did it again and the pain went again! So much so that I was able to go to work!
So I am now recommending it to all my friends if I think they need it, for spider phobia, addictions and various illnesses. I believe it is a miracle to be able to control a migraine! Bring on the next one and Ill get rid of it again!

I thought this was a great book, with a whole chapter explaining the scientific reasoning behind it. It sounds crazy and takes a while to get going on it, but is well worth the effort. I'm a complete beginner and I'm having success using it on friends though not quite so much success on myself (apparently that is quite often the case) Get a friend to read it and try it at the same time on each other.

Bearing in mind that Dr. Callahan made his discovery over 20 years ago this book has been a long time in coming! However, I expect the majority of readers (and users) will not be disappointed. Concise, well written and more accessible to the general reader than his earlier and more theoretical book "Stop the Nightmares of Trauma", Dr. Callahan details his work from its tentative beginnings to some astounding recent findings. Also well presented are step-by-step treatment procedures that Dr. Callahan says will lead to a cure in 75-80% of those who use them correctly. Of course, this will be a grave disappointment for the 20-25% on whom these basic procedures will fail to work. Nevertheless, Dr. Callahan even throws out a lifeline for these people, with a section on troubleshooting the treatments and an invitation for those with more complex problems to contact him directly for advice. I expect few people will do this though - it's so much easier to be satisfied with failure and blame the "driver" than pick oneself up from despair and grab an opportunity that's too good to miss. The more curious and scientifically minded would do well to buy "Stop the Nightmares of Trauma" to get the bigger picture.
