Unadorned and unaffected, 'Tapestry Unravelled' finds Christine Tobin exploring the songs that comprise Carole King's landmark album, with accompaniment from wonderful pianist Liam Noble. A deeply personal album, 'Tapestry Unravelled' is a powerful, fragile, eloquent work. From the upbeat "Beautiful", here a compelling opener, to the majestic "I feel the Earth Move", plaintive "You've Got a Friend" and luminous "Tapestry", Tobin's decision to eschew self-conscious re-arrangements in favour of frank, almost brutally exposed explorations reaps rich reward with a reading as richly romantic and subtly radical as King's great songs demand. I love this album. A fantastic homage to one of the all time great albums Christine Tobin's voice has such a subtle husky edge to it. Completely unpretensious , with genuine feeling pouring out of every syllable, and beautifully paced. Liam Noble on piano is wonderful too. A real joy to hear. I especially loved 'You got a friend', but i's all good.

Love this CD. Beautiful and haunting, I remember all of the songs, brings back great memories. This CD is gorgeous.
