Tape Five co-operates with several record companies worldwide.

TAPE FIVE combines a variety of styles and influences with an eye on compositions in a classy way: Their first album „Swingfood Mood“ is comparable with music from Les Baxter, the inventor of Exotica. Their 2nd album „Bossa for a Coup“ has vibes from Quincy Jones’s Bossanova sound of the sixties.

Their track „Slow Serenade“ on their 4th album „Swing Patrol“ is a Hommage to the crackling Glenn Miller recordings from the 1930ies. The composition was done as a study of the Schillinger system, that Benny Goodman and the Andrew Sisters used.
Martin Strathausen is songwriter/producer and multi-instrumentalist. He creates his own compositions and recordings in co-operation with international musicians and singers (from England, Germany, California, Siberia, Ukraine, Cameron, Romania, Italy, France and Russia) as well as with local artists from the „Folkwang University of the Arts“ in Essen, Germany.

TAPE FIVE’s songs can be found on hundreds of international CD compilations like: Electro Swing Vol. 2-5, Cafe del Mar, Bar Tunes, Campari Lounge, Smile Style, Big City Bar, Shanghai Lounge, Claude Challe Select, Fashion District, La Dolce Vita, Jazz Lounge, Swing Mania, Erotic Lounge, Big Bang Club, Electro Swing Revolution, Funky Plush and lots of Electro-Swing Cds from the French Wagram label.

TAPE FIVE is also producing videos which can be seen for example on their Youtube channel:
