One of the best, most readable interpretations of Tao Te Ching I have come across over the years. The supporting illustrations are bold yet do not take away from the text.
Certainly one of those classic coffee table books I'd like to pick up from time to time and ponder over a few pages.. highly recommended!

Nevertheless,
It is with great humility and respect that I recommend for anyone with interest to read a little of the philosophy; and then relax a bit and think about it, or just sit in the sun for a while instead. This is a marvelous translation even without the nice photographs; thoughtful, fluid, and simple. 2 of 3 people found the following review helpful:

Out of three other texts I have seen this book creates the nicest imagery. The book also has these simple black and white photos of natural objects. I am no expert but it was easy to read and i liked the word choices. I would definitely buy a copy of this edition for myself. You won't be disappointed.
