This was a good read for me as it opened up a very liberal view of love and divine love however I felt this was more about the author and herself and was about her healing path so from that perspective I lost interest.

Highly recommend this book 1 May 2012
By George - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
In a deeply personal and poignant style, Caroline explores the promise and pitfalls of polyamory compared to monogamy. Whether you identify with either, Caroline's beautifully told odyssey provides wonderful insight (and an erotic subtext that had me spellbound) as she courageously pushes her limits to open herself to love. I sometimes wonder whether my own choice of monogamy stems from my possessiveness and insecurity and whether a different choice would open me more to love. Reading this book gave me more conviction to trust my own intuition and inspired me to love my wife more fiercely.

Amazing Account of Life on the Edge 16 Feb 2012
By Laurie Handlers - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
I loved every minute of this book. In fact I could not put it down. I came away with many gifts in reading Caroline's account of her life. First, it is possible to be freer as a woman than most of us know. It is possible to go all the way into pleasure over and over again beyond the imagination. And it is likely and possible that we can change our minds about it all and redefine ourselves and what is pleasurable to us after having what seems like "having it all."

Caroline's account is truly courageous and inspiring. I feel expanded just by having read it.

passionate and powerful 2 Jan 2012
By Julie - Published on Amazon.com

Caroline Muir has forged a spiritual path out of opening to love, intimacy, and sexuality. In this autobiography, she describes her journey so vividly that while reading it, I felt as if I was experiencing at least some of it along with her. I often found myself thinking, "you mean, people can really do that?? They can really be that intimate with each other? They can really be that sexual on a daily basis, and in such a loving, healing, reverential way?" And then the thought, "where have I been all my life?!" Caroline's book is one of those rare few that has a life-changing effect: I feel more expanded and adventurous, and I am wanting to cultivate more intimacy and sensuality in my life.

The book itself is very well written and engaging. True to her nature, Caroline opens herself to the reader and shares extremely personal details about her emotional, sexual, and spiritual experiences. She also shares with us her life with Charles Muir, her guide and belovèd, while telling the story of how they developed their powerful teaching of sacred sexuality that they have been offering to the world for decades, both as a team and individually.

The earlier book that Caroline co-authored with Charles, The Art of Conscious Loving, was a practical guide to understanding and practicing Sacred Sexuality, or Tantra. It was ground breaking, helping to usher in the Sacred Sexuality movement. Caroline's current book is personal, earthy, feminine. It makes the knowledge of the first book real and concrete by showing how she has lived it in her own life. Her book also takes us further down the path by honoring the feminine and portraying how sexual passion can be an act of worship to the Divine Feminine.

Warning: The book includes explicit descriptions of sexual behaviors. Although everything is presented in a respectful, spiritual context, some parents may not want their children reading it. However, one of the unstated messages of Caroline's book is that the next step in society's sexual liberation is to heal our shame around sexuality and to discover instead its nurturing, healing, and awakening power. Caroline has fully explored this cutting edge of sexual spirituality--indeed, she has been a prime mover in creating it--and in her book, she takes us to that edge.

The Queen of Tantra in America Speaks! 22 Jan 2012
By Pamela - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
If you ever wondered if it is easy to be sexually awakened, read this memoir. It is a no holds bar account of one woman's road to becoming the mother of Tantra in the US. It is a touching, real, and moving account. You will never think of "Sexual Healing" again in the same way....Thank you Caroline for being so brave.

shockingly honest 14 Jan 2012

What an extraordinary story! I couldn't put it down! Caroline writes with candor, showing both her vulnerability and strength as she journeys into her passion and truth. Most of the book centers around her marriage with Charles Muir and their many decades of teaching Tantra together. They bring love and sexuality to its highest realm of holiness, true connection to Spirit, that heals the body and mind. It is an art that can be taught and Caroline seems to embody her teaching, having given up shame, fears and old wounds that hinder the free flow of spirit.
