Review

"Tank Girl is goofy, crazy, romantic fun, and Bad Wind Rising is all these things and more." --Comics Cavern

"A series that's not afraid to sit on the boundaries of good taste... I'll give it credit for having great art, and for going balls-to-the-wall on every outing." --Primary Ignition

"I don't think I've enjoyed a Tank Girl story this much since I originally discovered the comic way back in the early '90's... This book reminds me of why I first fell in love with Tank Girl in the first place. This collection is classic Tank Girl all the way and I loved every page." --Ain't It Cool News

"Packed with inventively filthy insults, tons of random violence, casual sex and drug use - all smirkingly delivered without a smidge of seriousness." --Blogcritics

"One of the coolest uses of a limited color palette I can think of in monthly comics." --Nerdy Nothings

"This is an overall fine showcase of Martin and Dayglo's work... This addition to the Tank Girl canon is well worth a read." --We Love Cult

A brand new graphic novel from the exciting new Tank Girl creative team: Alan Martin and Rufus Dayglo!

A holiday. A hold-up. A murder. A car chase. A very large vodka. A fistfight. An earthquake. A mutant surfer. A lorry heist. A tiny moped. The return of a much loved secondary character - and a gang of killer kangaroos after Tan Girl's scalp.

Don't miss Tank Girl's latest twisted action adventure!

Ah, memories of my youth came flooding back when I opened this title in the recent relaunch of the 90's icon alongside snippets of the film starring Lori Petty. As with the original it has a kick ass storyline, top notch humour and of course the usual amount of groinal shots that amuse the masses. Add to this cracking artwork, a twisted vision of the future which when added to the coupling of Tank Girl and Booga allows the reader to escape the dull real world for quite some time.

All in this was, rather than a truck, a tank load of fun. Great stuff.

Bad Wind Rising (first edition) 2 Feb 2012

The book itself is awesome. It's quite short, but it's oversized unlike the standard comic sized collected editions of TG's 2007-20** run. The dust jacket (pictured) hides an amazing & colorful hardcover.

The story is fun & dumb, and has a few throwbacks to the original strips (collected in TG Volumes 1-3). You're promised that somebody will have their goodies shot off every chapter!

This is much like the original Tank Girl comics. She isn't as bubble headed but the humor is great and the tougher, more sentimental persona is just as good. I still prefer the artwork of Alan Martin but Rufus's work is excellent!

Buy this book, it might save your miserable F****ng life!
