I had a Tanita scale for years and the product never failed me. When I discovered that I could have an innerscan that would tell me how much my bones and my muscles weight plus give me my fat and water % - making it simple for the ones who don't want to fiddle with numbers it tells you simply if your are underweight, average or overweight, even obese- and not forgetting the calories/ kilojoules counter plus your metabolic age ( estimated) I decided to go for it. And I am happy with my decision as, although I appear healthy, and I am average for most estimates, it turned out that my bone mass was not- something I wouldn't have suspected. As I am quite young, I am glad the problem could be tackle early. The good thing is that it allows you to monitor your progress towards health and can so show you - for example- if your diet is really healthy ( i.e. if you are really losing fat or just water or muscles...). A great tool, in use by - almost- the whole family ( kids under 7 can't use it).
