Directions
Don’t be tentative--fantastic, painless and easy detangling is achieved by using a firmer pressure. Unlike conventional brushes, the Compact Styler can be used from roots to ends and mid-length to ends. Detangle hair by using brush strokes from the underneath of the hair with the teeth pointing upwards. Alternatively, brush from the top of the hair pointing the teeth downwards. Not recommended for use with heated appliances. Replace the teeth guard when not using to protect the teeth. Rinse your Compact Styler with warm water after using any kind of product. Dry at room temperature. Do not dry teeth on a radiator or with your hairdryer. Clean teeth using a toothbrush. Lightly brush through the teeth with soapy water once a week and rinse thoroughly.

I originally bought the large, pink tangle teezer. Wasn't too fond of the colour but the main problem I found with it was that the bristles became damaged in the suitcase when travelling, so I bought the compact styler version. The bristles are very much protected by the cover and I find it easier to hold than the larger version. I do find, though, that because the bristles are shorter (than the larger version), it's not as effective in tackling tangles (still better than standard hair brushes, though). I now use the pink regularly and use the compact only when travelling. Although (very) good for tangles, I don't find them particularly good for styling, so you may still need a standard brush as well.

I heard about this product in Cosmopolitan - I got a voucher for it too, but turns out buying it on Amazon was cheaper than on their website with the voucher.
I got it today and as my hair was a mess I went through it with the Tngle Teezer and it just glided through! My normal hairbrush would get stuck and eventually pull out lots of my hair (no matter how gently I brush it), but with this, I must say I was surprised! I didn't expect such a wonderful result!

This hair brush is just amazing!
With hair that has been described by hairdressers as 'too long', tangles are a regular occurrence. It got to the stage the stage where brushing my hair would take about 45minutes, using copious amounts of detangling spray. This brush has cut that to between 5 and 10 minutes.
I no longer dread and put off brushing my hair, i no longer feel traumatised by emptying my poor broken hair from the hairbrush and even tell randoms about my revolutionary new brush.
I have the original one and bought the compact to go on holiday as the thought of post swimming tangles worried me, but I didn't want to risk breaking the spines in my bag.
I actually think the compact is better, it fits in the hand better and allows for more precision, making the brushing even easier. It possibly looks better too.

Tangle Teezer Compact
