Product Description
A Tangle is a series of curves that connect and pivot with no beginning and no end. Tangles have long been famous as a stress reducer. Tangle Toys have been proved as an effective learning aid that top educators are calling a brain tool. They have an amazing ability to focus children with Autism and ADHD. They help to calm children who have a hard time settling down. Tangle can be used for: Fidget Toy - aid concentration by reducing maladaptive behaviour * Learning Aid - put into different shapes, identify colour,etc * Therapy - improve hand muscle, prepare fingers for the demands of writing by strengthening fine motor muscles with a calming twist and turn motion * brightly coloured for visually challenged * Self Harm - offer an alternative distraction * Habits - as an aid to breaking an habit for e.g smoking, biting nails. Please note that one tangle is supplied and we will send the next one out of the box. If colour choice is important we do also list our tangles in each colour choice separately.
Eighteen curved and jointed sections to twist and manipulate into almost limitless contortions. Great to fiddle with and difficult to put down! Various colours available, with a tactile fuzzy covering. Approximate Size: 18cm.

It's fun to fiddle with this toy - and good for fidgety hands. The velvet feel is very attractive as are the bright colours. The different sections do come apart if pulled hard though, but can be clipped back in again. There are limited transformations of its shape, but if you just want something to roll around you fingers its fine. I bought it for my son, who has a tendency to flick or flap his fingers when excited or deep in thought. He loves the feel of it but in the end I've used it more than him!

I picked up one of these on a whim to add to our office fidgetting materials... which include a battered Rubik's cube, some juggling newts, worry beads and other bits and pieces that people couldn't resist bringing in for those loooong phone calls and other fiddling opportunities. Our fuzzy tangle proved popular with everyone & their kids.
It has the soothing tangle-ability of the plain tangles, but with a lovely velvety texture. The velvet wears off after a bit so I can't say this was a very durable toy. A few months down the line I've ordered a couple more, as the original Tangle is now almost bald of fuzz, and looks grubby and battered. For a small, cheap toy that is designed specifically to be mauled about I can't really complain about this though!
Favourite Tangle-ing tips include breaking the segments into bits (note: not suitable for under-3s for this reason) and re-assembling them as interlocking circles.. which make an appealing, chunky key fob. Also, mixing this one with other Tangles for extra tangle-ability.

this is a good tool for a child with ADHD however have found that the material coating does come off easily
