Their BEST album! 12 Aug. 1999
By A Customer - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD
With each Vixen album you can hear a growth lyrically and musically. This album definitly shows a older, mature Vixen! The lyrics are strong and amazing and the music is excellent. I wish they stayed together and put out another album cause it's like they just get better with every album (and i absolutley LOVE their first album!)

This album is so good I can't stop listening to it! 30 Nov. 1999
By Johny Bottom - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD
Forget 80's Vixen. This ain't no pop album. This album rocks like you never thought Vixen could. The only way to explain it is Pat Benatar meets L7. Strange? Well after the first few seconds of 'Page', you'll find yourself saying "This is Vixen?" They are no longer female Poisen clones. This album rocks harder than their last two by far. It took ten years, but wow I'd wait another ten to hear something this good again.

Album of the year and no one has heard it? 12 Nov. 1998
By A Customer - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD
This album, to me, is one of the best albums of 1998. Funny thing is that very few people have heard this CD. Radio has given it no airplay at all:( This is 11 of the strongest tracks Vixen has ever recorded. The title track "Tangerine" will blow the doors off. The song "Shut Up" says everything that we wish we could say to some people in our lives, but can't. The second single "Air Balloon" floats free and easy just like one. Pick this up, it is so good!!!

Damn good, but not great! 17 July 2005
By Christopher Knight - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD
I searched ten long years for another taste of the totally AWESOME voice that is Janet Gardner, so when I finally found "Tangerine" I bought it immediately!

Her voice is just as outstanding as ever, but the absence of Jan & Share is apparent in the music from the opening chords. Roxy is her rock-steady self, but Gina Stile is a great rhythm but only a good lead. The songs, as a whole, are good, but most could have been great with an "American Dream" style solo or a "Not A Minute Too Soon" thundering bass line. The studio guy they used on bass PALES in comparison!

If you like the crap that passes for music on the radio (Mave Datthews, Jora Nones, Dreen Gay, et al) these days, don't buy this CD - shoot yourself & put the rest of us out of your misery! If, however, you like KICK-ASS rock & roll sung by a great voice like Doro Pesch, Sandi Saraya or Ann Wilson - BUY ANY VIXEN CD IMMEDIATELY! This isn't the best one, but they're ALL better than today's FM fodder!

Tangerine Rocks 10 Mar. 2004
By Alban Schachte - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD
This is not only Vixen's best album, but it is one of the best rock albums of the 90's. There are two songs on here that I'm not crazy about (never say never and the instrumental untitled 12th track). Other than those, every song is a favorite.
If I had to choose just one absolute favorite song, I couldn't. It's down between Shut Up and Can't Control Myself for hardest rocking. But then there is the powerful emotion in Tangerine, Bleed, and Peace. I liked Air Balloon too, because it's weird and sometimes you just need some weirdness to round things out.
Every time I put this in the CD player, it makes me wonder why I ever pulled it out.
Turn up the bass on this one. If you don't have any bass, get some.
