    Bought to carry a Canon EF-S 55 - 250. Ideal length. A little wide in the diameter, but not excessively so.

    It claims to hold a lens of 6.75 ins or 17.1mm. My lens is 17.1mm and it was nowhere near fitting in. I would suggest 16.1mm is closer to the mark. I have had to return it and buy a larger one.

    I bought this for my Tamron 70-300m lens, fits perfectly, even with sun hood.
    It took me quite a white to chose which tamrac lens case I really wanted. A few reviewers on other products had commented on the strange sizing of these products. At first I was looking at the XL case but this fits my lens.
    The belt loop is fitted with strong velcro and poppers and the padding is thick and sturdy. I've not taken it out to use on a walk yet but I'm certain it'll be fine.
