The Digital Zoom 3 was specifically designed for digital SLR cameras like Canon's digital rebel with a lens attached up to 3-1/2". It uses Dual Foam technology that combines closed-cell foam to provide maximum shock protection with open-cell foam for vibration dampening and a custom fit. A full-coverage top provides excellent protection by combining EasySqueeze buckle for quick access with a zipper for back-up security and weather protection. The front accessory pocket has Tamrac's U.S. patented memory and battery management system, which uses red flags to identify available memory cards and batteries from ones that are used up. A Windowpane-Mesh pocket organizes other small accessories. A smooth nylon pocket in the lid holds lens-cleaning paper. In addition to the EasyGrip carrying handle, the Digital Zoom 3 has an adjustable, removable shoulder strap and belt loop to carry it hands-free on a belt.

Wanted a compact protective bag to house my camera with favourite lens attached for when casually trekking about, without the burden of a fully loaded kit bag.
Had a good look at several DSLR type bags on the high street such as Lowepro, Jessops "own brand", samsonite etc. Internal measurements for these bags always seemed out of proportion and left huge gaps on the width of my camera. I have a Pentax K200d, most commonly attached with a Tamron 18-250mm zoom lens. It's a very typical size for an entry level type DSLR like the Canon eos 400D and Nikon D40. The dimensions of my camera are; camera body 5" wide, height 4" and the length (with lens) is 6" (Lens is 3.5" on it's own) This bag fits great, easy access but very snug.
Other comments - Construction is well padded and sturdy. It has an easy access clip for fast retrieval of camera as well as a full zip to give security and weather protection when needed. (Few of the other brands offered both zip and clips for the price) Grip on top handle is an excellent rubberized mesh material and the carrying strap is adjustable with metal clips. All seems very well stitched together. There is a useful little zipped front pocket for batteries / spare memory cards without making the form of the bag bigger than it needs to be.
I haven't seen any UK high street shop with this make of bag so this purchase was a bit of a punt, a punt that has paid off nicely. High street has definately missed a trick here.

Fits Nikon D90 + 18-105mm lens

This bag does exactly what I want it to do. It just barely fits my Nikon D90 w/18-105mm lens, with just enough room for the kit strap inside the case. I bought it to hold the D90 with the 35mm prime lens when I don't want to carry a bigger bag. With the 18-105, I'll have to be a bit more careful, since I can feel it against the bottom of the bag, but there's a bit of space between the 35mm and the bottom. Any "entry level" DSLR should fit without problem with a small zoom lens. The D90 would not fit with anything bigger, such as the 18-200mm zoom. The Tamrac 5683 is better padded than the Lowepro Rezo TLZ 10, but only slightly larger. It's a great walkaround camera case. I rated only four stars because I haven't used it, but hope to provide an update.

This bag is just the right size! It fits our Cannon EOS Rebel XSI perfectly and has just the right amount of space to carry any little extras.
