Bizarre and Extremely Disappointing

This is the first time I have written a review for a book, and I have purchased hundreds of books from Amazon. I just wish someone had written this review before I purchased Taming the Cougar, as it was excruciatingly bad.
If you enjoy shifter stories, you will be very disappointed by this book, as there is no romance, no true attraction, just violence and sex between this very confused woman and what is really only a ghost of a man. And the sex is not even good - you know it's bad when the reader is not sure whether or not the characters actually even had sex.
The main female character, Kai, spends 90% of the book exploring and dissecting her (apparently) hitherto-unknown need for violent, animalistic sex and extreme submissiveness. I have read lots of D/s and shifter stories, good and bad, but none of them were this painful to read. Most of her ramblings take the form of dream sequences, at least they seemed to at the time I was reading them. It's just too hard to tell what is real versus what is her mental ramblings or dreams. Kai doesn't even know what is real and what was a dream, half the time.
This bizarre story suddenly ends without explanation or resolution, although it is clear that there will be no HEA, as the shifter is not really human, and that cannot be resolved in Kai's favor. This is a supremely unsatisfying read, so save your time and money. Yes, it was just that bad, and if I could have given it zero stars and still been able to write a review, I would have!

Bad, Boring and Beastiality

I enjoy a good shifter romantic story. This book was just plain creepy and confusing. I had no idea what the heck was going on. It's like the writer was in a dream, a nightmare or a medicated haze. I wouldn't recommend it. Hopefully the used book store will buy it from me. Yuck!

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS HORROR STORY. This book was disturbing in SO MANY WAYS!! and on top of all that is was just DISGUSTING.
