3.0 out of 5 stars Just a repeat. 8 Jun 2014
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
A bit disappointed as the patterns in this book are identical to his other book on tambour, which I already have. So basically I have a duplicate which is not what I was looking for.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best of the available titles for tambour work 25 Feb 2013
Format:Hardcover
Tambour embroidery books are few and far between, so I was pleased to find this book at such a reasonable price. It is quite an old fashioned book and all images are black and white. However, it provides detailed illustrations of the techniques involved in tambour embroiderey. It also has maps of the route to take to create certain effects. There are lots of traditional patterns that could be transferred to tracing paper for personal use. All in all, the best of a very limited range of books.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best tambour embroidery book! 29 Mar 2014
By Mary Corbet - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Hardcover|Verified Purchase
Tambour Work is the best book on tambour embroidery available. The diagrams and instructions throughout the book are clear and easy to understand. Unlike most tambour books available, this one concentrates more on embroidery than on beading. It's excellent, and I hope it is kept in print for years to come!

Five Star rating. Book has pictures of tambour work in progress, every stitch in detail, set up your tambour lesson. Click on the LAST STAR to vote on rating. DO NOT CLICK ON FIRSt StAR which was my mistake. Book verify your stitches in tambour work.
