The character you get is based on how well you care for your Tamagotchi, and you can actually raise several generations in one Tamagotchi with proper care and feeding. You can also play again and again with Tamagotchi and get a different character each time you play. And this new line of Tamagotchi has a great new element: a pause feature! Tamagotchi fans have requested this life-saving feature for their pets, and Bandai have incorporated it! Tamagotchi Version 4.5 is compatible with Version 1, 2, 3 and 4, so you can still talk to all your friends, even if they are on older versions.
