Amazon.co.uk Review

As soon as the original became the best selling, non-Nintendo published game for the DS in Japan, it was only a matter of time before a sequel appeared. As with the last game this isn’t just a simulation of the original virtual pet keyrings, but instead has you setting up and running a series of shops with one of three Tamagotchi partners. There are twelve shops in total, with new premises being unlocked as you do well with the initial ones by performing in a series of mini-games.

Each game is completely different, depending on the shop – so you might be preparing sushi in the sushi bar or helping out and playing in the bowling alley. Although most of the shops are brand new some of the ones from the first game do make a remixed appearance, such as concert hall where you can now actually sing along with the tunes using the DS’s inbuilt microphone. Success in each of the games furnishes you with "Gotchi points", which can then be used to buy things for your Tamagotchi partner, from furniture to clothes and even food. These will help endear your Tamagotchi to you, who has five levels of mood depending on how well you have been doing minding the shop and whatever you’ve bought for them lately. If you upset them they’ll end up bad mouthing you in front of customers.

Since its pretty much the same game with different shops in it, those that liked the original Corner Shop will naturally appreciate this. There’s very little depth to any of the mini-games though, so while some DS games like Nintendogs and Animal Crossing have been able to cross the gender and generation gap, this is probably only going to be entertaining for very young kids.

This is my mothers user but never mind I need it as I don't have a credit card! ha! Anyway I find this game unbelievably addictive! it's so much fun playing as one of the three characters to choose from. It is quite a lot the same as the first version but it still has some different qualities. You can set up 12 different kinds of shops with your tamagotchi, doing all different things each time, whilst dressing up your tamagotchi, setting up their room and feeding them 'interesting' snacks.
A very good game.

Whilst not being an 'adult' I unfortunately cannot class myself as a child anymore, however I have found this game so addictive! Even if I'm just playing whilst the t.v. is on in the background it keeps me entertained. The graphics are cute, and there is a definate feel good factor about completing the puzzles. My younger sister has the 1st game so I can compare the two and there are enough differences between them to make it fun. Even the puzzles which were in the 1st game are slightly different in this one.

Having said this I am a big kid and this game is probably best for those young enough to get cheap cinema tickets.

A great game full of lots of great little games. Probably more suited to younger kids but still great fun for all. The sushi bar is my favourite shop as it's slightly more challenging than some of the others. Great for improving co-ordination skills and reflexes in a really cute, funky environment :)

This poduct is definately better than the original in many ways. If you dont already have the first one dont bother buying the first one aswell as this one because they are alike in many ways.

I really love this game. All of the shops are so different and the harder you work with your tamagotchi business partner, the more customers you'll recieve. If the Princess comes to your shop, then it gets upgraded!! Also when your shop is upgraded you can buy stuff to put in your home. This game has so many different things to do so I'd reccomend this game 100%!

Although this game can get very annoying after a while, overall it's very fun and allows you to be creative using the stylus as an icing pen to decorate cakes and loads more.

The characters are adorable and they make very sweet sounds when talking, but their demand for things is irritating (they always want their cakes and clothes to be EXACTLY the same as the order). We're only human, give us a break!

This game is enjoyable, although eventually the novelty wears off a bit. But overall, it's a lot of fun!
