"Talking to Heaven" has stopped me in my tracks and made me consider spirituality in a way which was not important to me before. If you believe there is more than what you understand as a physical being, but are unsure of how it applies to you, or you have many contradictory questions - read this - its much simpler than you think. I have always had muddled and weak beliefs in a 'religious' sense and I think this has been a basis for at times misguided choices and judgements. I feel that the themes and beliefs explored by James Van Praagh offer far more in terms of a basis for understanding and learning how to live a fulfilling life by respecting and developing our spiritual being. If you have your doubts - or you're confused - try it..open your mind and spirit - it may just be what you've been waiting to hear! I have got through the book in about 5 hours - it is totally absorbing - brilliant - I have been sharing some of the beliefs with my friends - who without exception have been so interested they have all asked to borrow the book ! - of course I will be spreading the word! Even if you not ready for personal spirtual exploration - several of the readings James has given to others in his capacity as a medium are recounted and these alone are fascinating and worth reading (the hairs on my arms raised a few times!) Loved the book - loved the beliefs - in fact it all comes down to love...try it.

I had watched most of Van Praagh's TV shows 'Beyond' and become very interested indeed, so brought this book 'Talking to heaven' and could not put the book down, I have now read all of his books, and I am all the better for it too. He is a refreshing change from the normal "TV mediums", he hits on things that no one but the sitter could have known, and they are not vague things, they are specific and breathtaking insights, this book has some of these outstanding readings within its pages. If there is a medium that has the sceptics running for cover, its James. A must read for anyone, even if you are curious.

I first first borrowed this book from the library and was so impressed by it that not only did i buy one for myself but brought two more copies for relatives of mine. Everyone i have lent the book to has agreed it is simply an amazing read. i personally have never read a book that goes into such details regarding the after life. "This is inspiring book is a must to read" quoted on the front of the book is absolutely correct. Once you start reading you cannot put it down as you become so intrigued with it's contents.
