Product Description

For over two decades, Rick Vito has captivated listeners all over the world with his own unique blend of Blues, Rock & Roll and R&B. His stellar guitar work has enriched the recordings and performances of such legendary artists as Bob Seger, Bonnie Raitt, Jackson Browne, John Mayall's Bluesbreakers, Roy Orbison, and many others. Rick is perhaps best known as a member of Fleetwood Mac. This brand new album showcases Rick's unique, blues-style slide guitar, featuring Rick's great touring band The Lucky Devils (Charlie Harrison on bass and Rick Reed on drums). The album contains 11 tracks including an instrumental take on Sam Cooke's "A Change Is Gonna Come" which is not to be missed. Other highlights include the gospel-tinged "I Do Believe", along with the deep blues of such cuts as "The Lucky Devil". This album is a sure-fire pleaser for all guitar blues and roots-rock music fans.

Most Helpful Customer Reviews

3 of 3 people found the following review helpful By P. Williams on 22 Mar. 2007
Format: Audio CD
This album has a definite "Black" sound to it because of Vito's amazing guitar technique and his vocals, and just the sheer qaulity of the material. Every track puts out a certain feel and atmosphere. Every song should be listened to in a different situation. With the slower bluesy tracks you feel as though you could be in a seedy bar listening to the blues at 3:00am, but the up-tempo numbers should played at full volume driving home from work. His backing band are also second to none.

The very first track has everything a guitar freak could want..guts, great riffs, and just good old-fashioned passion! There's nothing even close to a bad track on this album, and Vito should get the proper treatment here in the UK and get plenty of airplay instead of the garbage we're subjected to 24/7. Do yourself a favour and get a copy of this album...it truly is a work of genius!

Rick Vito is somewhat of an acquired taste. He is a very slick guitar-slinger and not a bad singer and songwriter. I had the rest of his albums so this completes my collection.

A very underated artist if you can play in Fleetwood mac and Bob Seger's band's it must tell you something of this man's talent.Well worth a listen.
