If you need to learn some simple phrases fast in Cantonese for, say, a business trip, I'd recommend this. If you want to learn Cantonese properly, I'd look for something else. Although this is for beginners, as the packaging says, you aren't taught words but only phrases. Useful words like "I", "you", "he/she/it", "here", "there" "where" are never given to you during the practices, and the only way of figuring these words out is by noticing that they keep coming up in the phrases you are learning.
However, this does have some good aspects to it, for example the recordings of people saying the phrases are really useful for teaching pronunciation, something particularly important in Cantonese since the language relies heavily on different tones. The romanization of Cantonese phrases doesn't seem to be in any standard romanization, but the way they have done it is still useful and simple for english speakers, though I found this a bit irritating when I wanted to look up the meanings of separate words in phrases since I had to figure out other ways of romanizing it to find the words.
Overall though, this is a good program when you're in a hurry to learn.
