Could anyone confirm whether or not this is the Day One Edition (D1E) of Tales of Xillia? Because the French and German Amazon sites show a distinct D1E of ToX, while the UK Amazon just shows the game. Very confused about this. I'm looking for the D1E so if the UK Amazon does not sell it then I'll need to quickly pre-order from elsewhere. Thanks!

According to gamefaqs and the website where I bought the collector's edition from, it's also 9th of August like UK Amazon. Let's hope it will be ready on time unlike Final Fantasy xiii: Lightening Returns.

I got the collectors edition from the Namco Bandai website so i could get a Millia Maxwell figurine. not sure if there is going to be a Day 1 edition like with Graces.

FFXIII:LR never had a release date, so I'm not sure why you're saying that its not ready.

Tanthalas says:
If its anything like Tales of Graces, this should be the day 1 edition.

I know that I pre-ordered ToG long before the day 1 edition was announced and eventually changed my order to the day 1 edition when they updated their website. I expect the same thing to happen with ToX and its day 1 edition.

Just wondering, why Amazon offers the magnet only for the french store, since all Amazon Europa's store are the same company?! Amazon don't think it's fooling their customers to act like that, since they only do that for the french store because the two other biggers video games sellers in France are offering gifts too (and before they did)? I don't think that's really fair-play to offer gifts only when they need to compete with other stores...

SonicCross says:
According to
"The department investigating your query has able to confirm that what we have in is not the day one edition as you enquired. This is a standard edition with none of the extra content."
I think they are mistaken, Day 1 edition is usually the only one for the first batch of games, they will probably change the description before the release date but this is the official response so we must assume that it is not the day 1 edition until the say otherwise.

when i asked about the same thing, i got told that they could not 'confirm' it before they had the physical copy of the game and that i should contact namco bandai for more precise information

According to a Namco Bandai Games moderator of uk:
"It has been confirmed that EVERYWHERE that you pre-order in UK will have the Day 1 edition of Tales of Xillia even if they don't explicitly state it. Sorry if there is any confusion."

and you will have to spend £6 more at game (£39.99) for 2 terrible player skins and a theme which will be free when the game is released stick to best deal for the Day 1 Edition

Dark Zentai says:
are you sure the dlc will be out later as the tales of grace dlc was never release later but the theme was free
plus I like the skins and the hair it reminds of gourry from the slayers anime

I meant the theme will be released on the release date (sorry for the confusion) and it will be free (like what happened with Tales of Graces f), it's still not worth paying £6 more for what GAME are offering when you could use the savings made for getting the game on and something more worth it like GTA5, the PS4, Beyond two souls etc

In reply to an earlier post on 29 Jun 2013 10:49:23 BDT
Dark Zentai says:
the theme and avatar stuff will probably be free but it not 100% yet
but the way i look at it is it not just two costumes it split into 3 different parts the clothes, the sword and the hair thats 5 part in total from what I found they can be mixed with other costumes in the game and dlc ones too
the costumes also change the battle and victory music
I now its cheaper but I like the dlc and amazon are dreadful at release day delivery unless you pay postage
but I could get it cheaper that amazon but I want the dlc

Michael says:
This is whats wrong with the video games industry they think if we offer some retailers exclusive dlc (particularly GAME who's prices are terrible online and in their stores) people will pay more, but if the games price was the same then it would be a good offer. However if people are more interested in paying for pre order dlc than getting the game for a much cheaper price then go ahead, but i think the dlc that's been offered at GAME should have been given as a reward for completing the game and i bet that the dlc offered by GAME will be cheaper if not free when it arrives on the Playstation store.

It is the day 1 edition. It says so clearly on the product page in a box "Pre-order Tales of Xillia with us at before the release date, and you'll receive the Day One Edition with exclusive packaging, game, soundtrack and artbook."
