Product Description

Product Description

A collection of funny things that have happened to the author in more than 35 years of boating, together with some possibly apocryphal stories she's heard down the years.

A light hearted read for boaters and non-boaters alike to fill an idle moment.

More About the Author

I live on board Sanity Again with my husband and co-author Bruce. We've been together for several decades, and have lived aboard first Sanity and then Sanity Again for nearly eight years.

Having contributed to Bruce's first book, Building Sanity Again, I'm presently working on my own, A Boater's Commonplace Book, a miscellany of facts and anecdotes about life aboard a narrowboat.

A generous soul, I'm letting Bruce write a little bit of it.

A must for all boaters and for anyone who has ever wondered what life is like living on the UK's canals and inland waterways. Honest, fun and entertaining, all for the price of a 'posh' coffee.

This is the second book I've read from the Napier's. While this one was penned by Sheila, the first was co-penned with her husband Bruce (A Boater's Commonplace Book). Both are well written; this one shedding light on Sheila's wonderful sense of humour as she relates the "Tales from The Towpath"
