a light easy to read book, gives great insight into lincolnshire myths and supersticions. i loved the chapter on old remedies it was laugh out loud funny

The author has had a life long interest in local history which shows in this excellent informative book of Tales of Old Lincolnshire. Nice and entertaining to read, it is easily accessible with a few accompanying illustrations. Tales of witches, dragons, giants and boggarts abound along with a small but highly informative chapter on Lincolnshire folk medicines and another chapter devoted to the awful Louth flood of 1920. A highly informative and enjoyable book of local history and folklore.
