Having brought it to amazon's attention, they have clarified that this box set is of the TV mini-series not a box set of the three film which it has lead us to believe. The page should be updated soon.
The Neverending Story has created a fantastic mystical world where anything can happen. The films have showed us that... however this TV mini series has taken that further and showed us more of Fantasia and it's inhabitants... still a lot of old and familiar loveable names can still be seen and met.
Although it is a good series, it looks to me as if it got cancelled because they stop right in the middle of the story. I know that the point of the Neverending Story is that it is a story that never ends but this is taking it too far. However it's fun to allow your mind to wonder about what the possible outcomes are.
I enjoyed this TV mini-series, although it's a great shame about the budget for the special effects, but it was still wonderful just to go back to fantasia and visit all my old childhood friends.
Oh and if you've not read the The Neverending Story. Go get it now.

I bought this by mistake thinking it was the complete collection of The Neverending Story films. My fault for not reading reviews before purchasing. However, my 9 year old son has been absolutely glued to the TV whilst watching these stories. There is four discs and each film lasts roughly 90 mins.

For those who have never read the book? I think it wise that you do so. Believe me, the 1984 film was seriously cut short and could have been turned into a three hour film easily.
Take Xayide for instance, she makes her appearance within the book after Bastian saves Fantasia, but she was never mentioned in the 1984 film, and here she is in "Tales From The Neverending Story"
I love the film, I also love the TV series as it has characters mentioned in the book but were omitited from the film.
