Product Description

The Salem Witch Trials were as we all know a horrific turning point in history. It showed people how far their paranoia could lead them to; murder, persecution, and betrayal. Unknown to the humans, however, there were actually real witches located not just in Salem but all over the world including other magical beings like fairies, vampire, werewolves etc. However, once the events of the Salem Witch trials came to be the other races began to fear exposure to the humans and without so much as a second thought all the witches of the world were hunted down and killed. There was not one witch whom survived the genocide or at least that's what all the vampires, werewolves, and other races thought. But one day a girl named Aradia moves to Salem, MA and all that changes.

3.0 out of 5 stars YA supernatural story 19 Nov 2011
By Cheryl M-M TOP 500 REVIEWER
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
For a predictable YA I suppose it was ok, nothing mindblowing or original. There were a lot of parallels to other well known para/supernatural series out there, but then again there is only so often you can create something new in that particular genre. I found it very younger than young YA and the dialogue was very B movie. However I am sure this is the kind of book which will absolutely appeal to teenagers, so perhaps I am just to old and jaded.

4.0 out of 5 stars Would highly recommend this story 3 July 2011
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
I really would have liked to give this book 5 stars but due to a fair few misspellings and grammatical errors within the story I could only give it 4/5. The story itself I would give a whole 5/5. I loved the character development from the start including the main character Aradia (I would love to know if I'm actually pronouncing her name right too).

I liked the fact that this story started with a prologue, it filled you in on what the story was about before it started. I liked this as it set the scene and welcomed you to Aradia's world.

There's everything in this book from vampires, to faeries, to werewolves. Each character is described with enough detail so you feel like you know them and each has their own back story. Even the settings are given great detail so you can easily imagine the world.

I would say this story is aimed more at young adult, though I myself am 23 and I throughly enjoyed it from start to finish. I would recommend this book to anyone and can't wait to read the second part to Aradia's amazing story.

4.0 out of 5 stars great yet 2 Mar 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
I love it! It's great and I definitely recommend it to you, there's a strong storyline and plot, the only bone I have to pick with the author is that the main character is a bit to arrogant and powerful. That's just me being picky but It kinda ruins it for me. I'm sure you readers out there will still love it!
