Format:Board book
This touching story about three trees who had great aspirations in life, but for whom God had other plans, is a delightful tale for anyone of any age. The new edition, with its beautiful illustrations and smaller cardboard pages, is ideal for the younger reader to enjoy and treasure. I first came across this story two years ago, when it was acted out by a group of six year olds in the primary school where I was teaching, and I found it really moving. Since then, it has been loved and appreciated by many other children I have taught. It has also made the perfect christening present for my niece, something that I know will be cherished forever. As the author notes, this tale has been handed down from generation to generation and its originator is unknown. To this person, I am also deeply grateful.

This story has a meaningful message in todays world, where everyone is urged to become top or the winner. Life doen't work like that.

I first encountered this remarkable little story when I was an Infant school teacher. I read it to the class and around it we based our class assembly. It was so talked about that parents wanted to see it.
The book addresses the Christian story of Jesus's life from the point of view of three trees that were to serve him as crib, boat and cross during his life.
The story touches on issues of self esteem, hopes and desires and srevice to others.
Totally recommended for folk of all ages.
This particular edition is very small. I would recommend a larger copy for sharing.
