Good collection of Northern Soul but many tracks appear on other complilations. For those mystified by the Talcum reference; it refers to the Northern Souler's habit of sprinkling talcum powder on the dancefloor to aid their dance moves. Seriously!

3.0 out of 5 stars Solid Collection of 1960's R&B/Northern Soul Tracks 21 Jun 2006
By KC - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD
It's a fine collection of R&B/Northern Soul tracks from the 1960's (not counting Motown) ... if you're just starting out and you want some less known artists and tracks, this is a fine place to start but keep in mind the best tracks appear on many other collections - so if you already have a ton of Northern Soul CD's - better compare the track listing here.
